The Historical Records of Australian Science is a biannual journal that focuses on the history of science in Australia, New Zealand, and the South West Pacific. It publishes original research papers and historical documents related to the history of science, all of which are peer-reviewed. The journal includes major historical sources that have not been published or have been obscurely published, as well as peer-reviewed academic introductions. The first issue of the journal, titled Records of the Australian Academy of Science, was published in 1966, and it adopted its current name in 1980.
