Cell Host and Microbe was launched in March 2007. The journal aims to provide a forum for scientists studying microbes to exchange ideas and concepts with those researching host immunity, cell biology, and the molecular responses following colonization or infection by a microbe. Cell Host and Microbe publishes new findings related to microbes, including bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses, covering a wide range of topics from molecular and cellular biology to translational research, with a particular emphasis on the interface between microbes and their hosts (vertebrates, invertebrates, or plants).
