The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (AJCN) is one of the most influential peer-reviewed research journals in the field of nutrition, focusing on publishing the latest research findings related to nutrition, including topics such as obesity, vitamins and minerals, nutrition and disease, and energy metabolism. The goal of AJCN is to publish original research related to human and clinical nutrition, particularly high-quality clinical studies that explore the scientific mechanisms, effects, and safety of dietary interventions in the context of disease prevention or health benefits. We also encourage public health and epidemiological research related to human nutrition, as well as innovative investigations into nutritional issues using methods from epigenetics, genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics. Editorials, book reviews, commentaries, invited position papers, and letters to the editor related to previous AJCN articles are important components of AJCN. All submitted materials with scientific content will undergo rigorous peer review by the editor or designated personnel before acceptance for publication.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 2 authors
