The American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education accepts unsolicited manuscripts that have not been published and are not under consideration elsewhere. The journal focuses exclusively on materials related to pharmaceutical education. Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's style (see Author Guidelines). All manuscripts must undergo peer review and editorial approval before acceptance for publication. Reviewers are appointed by the editor as needed, based on recommendations from the editorial board. Manuscripts are submitted and processed through an online manuscript management system, which facilitates communication among the editorial office, editors, associate editors, reviewers, and authors. Once accepted, manuscripts will be scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue of the journal. All manuscripts are typeset and edited, and returned to authors for review and approval of changes. Approximately two weeks prior to publication, authors will receive an electronic proof of their article for final review and approval. There are no publication fees for authors.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
