Since its establishment in 1968, Applied Acoustics has been publishing high-quality research papers, providing cutting-edge research findings for engineers and scientists engaged in the broadest sense of acoustic applications. The journal not only focuses on the latest developments in understanding acoustics but also explores ways to utilize this understanding. It aims to encourage the exchange of practical experiences through publication, thereby creating a technical information foundation that can be used to address relevant issues. Information is particularly encouraged to be presented in graphical or tabular form. If mathematical developments are a necessary part of the paper, it is important to ensure that they are merely a component of the practical solution to the problem, supported by data. Applied Acoustics encourages the exchange of practical experiences through the following means: • Full papers • Short technical notes • Review articles; thus providing a wealth of technical information that can be used to solve relevant problems. Manuscripts covering all areas of acoustic applications, from medicine and non-destructive testing to environmental and architectural acoustics, are welcome.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
