The British Journal for the Philosophy of Science aims to apply philosophical techniques to questions arising in the natural and human sciences. These include general issues regarding the nature of scientific knowledge and objectivity, as well as more specific problems that arise in particular disciplines. Current topics under discussion in the journal include causation, the logic of natural selection, interpretations of quantum mechanics, the direction of time, probability, confirmation, the foundations of mathematics, supertasks, and theories of emotion.
