The focus of Computer Physics Communications is on contemporary computational methods and techniques and their implementation, which are typically validated in the context of significant problems in physics. In this context, Computer Physics Communications publishes two types of papers: Computer Program Papers (CPIP), which describe important computer programs that will be archived in the CPC program library within the MENDELEY data repository. Submitted software must be covered by an approved open-source license. Papers and related computer programs that address contemporary physics problems that current software cannot solve are particularly encouraged. Computational Physics Papers (CP) are research papers that cover computational physics and related disciplines, including mathematics and numerical methods, algorithms, computational models (including models related to experimental design, control, and analysis), and algebraic computations. Each typically includes software implementation and performance details. Ideally, software implementations should be available through GITHUB, ZENODO, or institutional repositories. Additionally, research papers on the impact of advanced computer architectures and dedicated computers on computational physics may also be considered.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
