Ergonomics, also known as human factors, is a scientific discipline aimed at understanding and improving the interactions between humans and products, equipment, environments, and systems. It integrates knowledge from human biology, psychology, engineering, and design to optimize system performance while safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of individuals involved. The scope of ergonomics extends to various aspects of our daily lives, including work, leisure, and more. The journal "Ergonomics" is an international reference publication with a tradition of disseminating high-quality research for over 60 years. We invite original submissions from across the discipline, including both theoretical and applied research, covering physical, cognitive, organizational, and environmental ergonomics. Papers reporting findings from related disciplines that contribute to the understanding of equipment, tasks, work, systems, and environments, as well as the corresponding needs, capabilities, and limitations of humans, are also welcomed. All research articles published in this journal undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial editorial screening and anonymous reviews by independent experts.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
