The French Review is the official journal of the American Association of Teachers of French and has the largest circulation of any scholarly journal of French studies in the world, with approximately 10,300 copies distributed annually. The Review publishes articles and reviews in both English and French, covering topics in French and Francophone literature, cinema, society and culture, linguistics, and technology six times a year. The May issue is always a special edition dedicated to themes such as Paris, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Quebec, Francophone cinema, Belgium, Francophonie in the United States, pedagogy, and more. Each issue also features a column by Colette Dio entitled “La Vie des mots,” which explores new developments in the French language.
