The Journal of Organometallic Chemistry aims to publish original papers dealing with the theoretical aspects, structural chemistry, synthesis, physical and chemical properties (including reaction mechanisms), and practical applications of organometallic compounds. Organometallic compounds are defined as those containing metal-carbon bonds, where 'metal' includes all alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, all transition metals, as well as lanthanides and actinides from the periodic table. Metalloids, including heavier members of groups 13 and 14-16, are also included. The scope of the journal has been expanded to include significant research on organometallic complexes in bioorganometallic chemistry and materials science, as well as heavier main group elements in organometallic chemistry. The journal also welcomes reports on the use of organometallic complexes in various fields. Additionally, it publishes commentaries, short communications, and notes.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
