The Journal of Small Animal Practice (JSAP) is a monthly peer-reviewed publication that integrates clinical research papers and case reports from international sources, covering all aspects of medicine and surgery related to dogs, cats, and other small animals. These papers facilitate the dissemination and implementation of new ideas and techniques relevant to clinical veterinary practice, with the ultimate goal of promoting best practices. JSAP publishes high-quality original articles as well as other scientific and educational information. New developments are presented in context, including new concepts and peer reviews. The target audience primarily consists of veterinarians engaged in small animal medicine and surgical practice. In addition to original articles, JSAP also publishes invited editorials (related to manuscripts in the same issue or current topics of interest), review articles that provide in-depth discussions on important clinical issues, and other scientific and educational information from around the world. The final decision on the publication of manuscripts rests with the editorial board, and all papers, regardless of type, represent the opinions of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the editors, the association, or the publisher. The Journal of Small Animal Practice is published by the British Small Animal Veterinary Association and serves as the official scientific journal of the association.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
