Water, Air, and Soil Pollution is an international interdisciplinary journal that addresses all aspects of pollution and solutions to biosphere contamination. This includes the chemical, physical, and biological processes affecting plants, animals, water, air, and soil related to environmental pollution. The journal covers a wide range of disciplines, including sources of pollution, transport, deposition, accumulation, acid rain, atmospheric pollution, heavy metals, water pollution (including marine and groundwater), wastewater, pesticides, soil contamination, sewage, sediment pollution, forest pollution, and more. It also examines the effects of pollutants on humans, vegetation, fish, aquatic species, microorganisms, and animals, as well as research in environmental and molecular toxicology, biosensors, global climate change, ecological impacts of pollution, and pollution modeling. The journal welcomes manuscripts on new methods in environmental pollutant research, environmental toxicology, environmental biology, new environmental engineering related to pollution, biodiversity affected by pollution, and new environmental biotechnologies applied to pollution (such as bioremediation). Please note that the journal does not accept articles that are only of local interest and do not contribute to the international knowledge of environmental pollution and its solutions. Articles that merely replicate known knowledge or techniques while studying local pollution issues are typically rejected without review. Submitted articles must include up-to-date references, employ appropriate experimental replication and statistical analysis when necessary, and make significant contributions to new knowledge. The journal publishes research papers, review articles, mini-reviews, and book reviews.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
