Acta Botanica Venezuelica is a biannual journal published by the Fundación Instituto Botánico de Venezuela Dr. Tobías Lasser (FIBV). Its main objective is to disseminate research results conducted in the country or involving the flora and vegetation of Venezuela. Established in 1965, the founding editor is Dr. Tobías Lasser, and since the publication of the first issue, it has had both national and international distribution. Starting from volume 16, an accumulated index is published every five printed volumes. It has been included in international indexes such as Biological Abstracts, CAB Abstracts, and Ecology Abstracts since the 1990s. The areas of interest of the journal include botany, morphology, taxonomy, anatomy, and ecology.
