The Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology provides a platform for the timely, detailed, and authoritative publication of scientific research related to the sources, transport, fate, and/or effects of pollutants in the environment. The journal welcomes submissions that address new analytical and toxicological techniques to enhance our understanding of the sources, transport, fate, and/or effects of environmental pollutants. AECT now considers small reviews (with a reference length of less than 5,000 words) that highlight case studies, geographic topics of interest, or timely debate topics. AECT also welcomes special issues on broadly relevant topics. The journal strongly encourages authors to ensure that their submissions emphasize ecosystem processes; submissions that are limited to technical aspects, such as toxicity testing of individual chemicals, wastewater discharge characteristics, human occupational exposure, or agricultural plant toxicity, are less likely to be considered.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
