Founded in 1931 and located in Park Ridge, Illinois, the AANA Journal is the professional organization for over 90% of the nation's nurse anesthetists. As advanced practice nurses, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) administer approximately 32 million anesthetics in the United States each year. CRNAs work in every setting where anesthesia is available and are the sole anesthesia providers in more than two-thirds of all rural hospitals. They administer every type of anesthetic and provide care for a wide range of surgeries and procedures, from open-heart surgery to cataract surgery to pain management.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
