The Brazilian Journal of Pharmacognosy is a scientific journal edited and published by the Brazilian Society of Pharmacognosy. This association brings together researchers, students, and professionals who study and investigate the physical, chemical, and biological properties of drugs, especially those of plant origin, isolated substances, and their potential as sources of natural drugs. The journal is available in printed form for its members and subscribers, and all issues and content are openly accessible on the Internet. The published articles are original research contributions. The evaluation process adheres to international standards and is conducted by ad hoc reviewers, reflecting the quality and credibility of the journal. The Brazilian Journal of Pharmacognosy has been published since 1986.
