Resumo Introdução A estimulação sensoriomotora neonatal (ESM) compõe intervenções que visam melhorar o desenvolvimento do recém-nascido. No entanto, a falta de padronização nos procedimentos de ESM destaca a necessidade de identificar as estratégias utilizadas. Objetivo Desenvolver um instrumento de coleta de informações sobre os procedimentos de ESM realizados por fisiote-rapeutas brasileiros, incluindo parâmetros para monitorar sinais de estresse ou autorregulação no recém-nascido. Métodos Trata-se de uma pesquisa online conduzida pelo método Delphi, com a participação de um painel de especialistas para avaliação do consenso. Para a construção do conteúdo foram consideradas dez técnicas de ESM, parâmetros cardiorrespiratórios, estado compor-tamental, entre outras variáveis. O consenso foi avaliado através do cálculo da validade de conteúdo por meio da taxa de concordância. Para as questões descritivas referentes à adequação do instrumento, as tendências de respostas e as respostas dissonantes foram sistematizadas pelo método de Bardin. Resultados Treze especialistas participaram do estudo. A construção do instru-mento demandou duas rodadas entre as categorias dos procedimentos de ESM, com taxas de concordância de 53-69% na primeira rodada e de 83-100% na segunda. A versão final foi construída com 212 questões e con-templou todas as categorias de procedimentos de ESM (tátil, vestibular, olfatória/gustativa e visual). Conclusão Uma lista de 221 questões distribuídas em quatro cate-gorias de procedimentos de ESM foi considerada relevante para atender um instrumento de coleta de infor-mações sobre os procedimentos de ESM. A relevância clínica deste instrumento reside em sua capacidade de padronizar e monitorar a aplicação de ESM, permitindo uma abordagem mais consistente e eficaz para promo-ver melhor cuidado neonatal.

Abstract Introduction In Brazil, the Apgar score is the main indi-cator of immediate risk at birth and general movements (GMs) are the gold standard markers for neuromotor out-comes. However, there are no studies that have investigate direct differences in GM quality in relation to the Apgar score. Objective Assess whether the Apgar score is related to GM quality in hospitalized preterm newborns and compare the presence of risk factors in those at high risk against a low-risk control group. Methods This is an observational study involving the analysis of medical records. Thirty eligible newborns with a gestational age of 34.80 ± 1.41 weeks, hospitalized in the neonatal intermediate care unit, were divided into a high-risk group (1and 5-minute Apgar score ≤ 7, birth weight &lt; 2,500 grams) and control group (1and 5minute Apgar score &gt; 7, birth weight ≥ 2,500 grams). Prechtl’s GM assessment and risk factor analysis were conducted in accordance with the Brazilian National Health System (SUS in Portuguese). Results There were no intergroup differences for GMs, but differences in biological factors were observed, with the high-risk group exhibiting more problems during pregnancy, labor or birth, and severe jaundice. Conclusion The Apgar score was not related to GM quality in the preterm newborns studied. However, there were more gestational and perinatal complications and severe jaundice in the high-risk group, indicating a possible relationship between these risk factors.

Resumo Introdução O índice de Apgar é o principal indicador de risco imediato ao nascimento no Brasil, e os general movements (GMs) são uns dos marcadores padrão-ouro para desfechos neuromotores. No entanto, não são encontrados estudos que tenham investigado diferenças diretas na qualidade dos GMs em relação ao Apgar. Objetivo Analisar se o índice de Apgar se relaciona à qualidade dos GMs em recém-nascidos pré-termo hospitalizados e comparar a presença de fato-res de risco entre aqueles de maior risco e um grupo controle de menor risco. Métodos Trata-se de um es-tudo observacional, por análise de prontuários. Foram elegíveis 30 recém-nascidos de 34,80 ± 1,41 semanas gestacionais, hospitalizados em unidade de cuidados intermediários neonatal e divididos em grupo de maior risco (Apgar ≤ 7 no 1º e 5º minuto, peso ao nascer &lt; 2.500 gramas) e grupo controle (Apgar &gt; 7 no 1º e 5º minuto, peso ao nascer ≥ 2.500 gramas). Foram coletados os resultados das avaliações dos GMs pelo método de Prechtl e os fatores de risco segundo o Sistema Único de Saúde. Resultados Não houve diferenças entre os grupos em relação aos GMs, porém houve diferenças quanto aos fatores biológicos, sendo que no grupo de maior risco houve maior presença de problemas no par-to, nascimento ou gravidez e icterícia grave. Conclusão O índice de Apgar não se relacionou com a qualidade dos GMs nos recém-nascidos pré-termo estudados. Entretanto, houve mais intercorrências gestacionais e peri-natais, além de icterícia grave, no grupo de maior risco, indicando possível relação entre esses fatores de risco.

Abstract Introduction COVID-19 could leave important consequences, including functional decline. Objective Eval-uate functional status in pediatric patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and correlate with clinical variables. Methods Prospective and retrospective longitudinal study with patients with COVID-19. Hospitalization data were collected from medical record review and post discharge data were collected by telephone contact. Functional status was evaluated by Functional Status Scale (FSS-Brazil) in three moments (hospital admission, hospi-tal discharge and after hospital discharge). Spearman test was used to correlate continuous variables and the linear model with generalized estimation equations was used to verify differences in the proportion of functional impairment occurrence (FSS-Brazil ≥ 8) at different mo-ments of the study and previous disease presence. Results It was included 232 patients, 56% male, median age of five years old. Seventy (30.2%) patients had post discharge data. The mean global score of FSS-Brazil was 7.3 at hospital admission, 6.8 at discharge hospital and 6.8 after discharge hospital. Functional status was adequate in the three different moments evaluated in 75% of the sample. The ventilatory support needed was not correlated with functional status and the length of hos-pital stay and oxygen therapy showed weak correlations with functional status. Having no previous disease reduced the risk of functional impairment by 94%. Conclusion The majority of the patients maintained adequate functional status. Absence of previous disease was a protective factor for long term functional impairment.

Functional status of children and adolescents with COVID-19 in a reference hospital in southern Brazil

Abstract Introduction: Primary health care (PHC) represents the first step of a network of health care processes that have the Family Health Strategy as their foundation for reorganization, expansion and consolidation. Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of the matrix support provided by the physical therapist to the community health agents (CHAs) regarding the level of knowledge about health conditions responsive to the performance of physiotherapy in PHC. Methods: We conducted a quasi-experimental study with two groups of CHAs, divided into control (n = 6) and intervention (n = 7), totaling 13 professionals belonging to a small municipality. Matrix support took place through educational workshops, addressing the axes of maternal and child health, adult health, health of older people and musculoskeletal disorders. For the initial assessment, a semi-open questionnaire was administered with sociodemographic data and work-related questions, a structured questionnaire containing questions related to the performance of physiotherapy in PHC that presents situations from the CHA's work routine, and a semi-open survey investigating patients to be referred to physiotherapy. For the final assessment, the same instruments were reapplied, except for the sociodemographic questionnaire. Results: After the intervention, in the comparison between groups, there was a difference in the risk perception index in the axis of musculoskeletal disorders (p = 0.032) and in the identification of cases of childhood changes (p = 0.012). In the intragroup comparison, the intervention group showed a difference in risk perception in the health of the older persons and in most of the items of the referral survey (p &lt; 0.05 for all). Conclusion: Matrix support can contribute to the shared construction of knowledge, as well as to the activation of physiotherapy in PHC by CHAs.
