Revista de Estudios Sociales is an indexed periodical publication that adheres to international standards of quality, positioning, periodicity, and online availability. Its objective is to contribute to the dissemination of research, analyses, and opinions developed by the national and international academic community. As a social sciences journal, it publishes results of investigations, reflections on relevant topics, theoretical revisions, and reviews that contribute to pertinent debates on subjects such as sociology, history, anthropology, cultural studies, and gender studies, as well as articles on political science, philosophy, psychology, and education. This quarterly publication (January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December) is released at the beginning of each of these periods. Established in 1998 and funded by the School of Social Sciences at the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), all its digital content is freely accessible through its website. The printed version incurs a cost and can be purchased at specific outlets. The journal publishes articles in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
