Design Studies is a leading international academic journal focused on advancing the understanding of the design process. It examines design activities across all applied fields, including engineering and product design, architectural and urban design, as well as the design of computer artifacts and systems. Thus, it provides an interdisciplinary forum for analyzing, developing, and discussing the fundamental aspects of design activities, ranging from cognition and methodology to values and philosophy. The journal publishes works related to the design process and engages a broad audience of researchers, educators, and practitioners. We welcome original, scientific, and scholarly research papers that report on studies related to the design process in all fields or that promote the development and application of new knowledge related to the design process. Papers should be written in an accessible manner and be relevant to a wide readership across different design domains. To be relevant to this journal, a paper must offer new insights or knowledge about the design process or contribute to new developments in the design process.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
