The journal "History and Philosophy of Logic" includes articles, notes, and book reviews related to the history and philosophy of logic. Here, 'logic' is broadly understood as any body of knowledge that was considered logical at the time. 'History' encompasses both ancient content and research from this century; however, the editors do not accept articles on recent work on a specific topic, including review articles. 'Philosophy' refers to broad and general issues: professional articles currently classified as 'philosophical logic' will not be published. The editors will consider articles that explore the relationship between logic and other branches of knowledge, but the components of logic must be substantive. Topics without temporal constraints will be interpreted in historical and philosophical contexts. Each topic includes its own meta-logic where appropriate.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
