Applied Clay Science aims to be an international journal that attracts high-quality scientific papers related to clay and clay minerals, including research articles, reviews, and technical notes. The journal covers a variety of typical topics in both fundamental and applied clay science, such as: synthesis and purification, the structure, crystallography, and mineralogical properties of clay and clay minerals, thermal properties, physicochemical properties (including surface and interfacial properties, thermodynamic properties, and mechanical performance), interactions with water and polar and non-polar molecules, colloidal properties and rheology, adsorption, intercalation, ion exchange, the genesis and deposition of clay minerals, the geology and geochemistry of clay, physical modification of clay and clay mineral properties, chemical modification using organic and inorganic molecules (such as organic clays and columnar clays), and biotechnological modifications.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
