Acta Botanica Mexicana is a journal that covers all areas of botany, publishing original and unpublished works, including topics such as botany, taxonomy, new scientific taxa, ecology, ethnobotany, paleobotany, evolution, and conservation. It primarily targets botanists from Mexico and abroad, with a particular focus on native plants of the Americas. Until 2018, the journal was published quarterly, with issues released in the first week of January, April, July, and October. Since 2019, it has been published continuously in electronic format, without a predetermined frequency.
