The journal "Fractals" focuses on the investigation of phenomena involving complex geometry, patterns, and scaling. Over the past few decades, this field has undergone remarkable development and widespread applications. The study of geometrical and temporal scaling has revealed common features of many processes across a diverse range of fields, including physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, economics, engineering, and human behavior. The complex nature of a phenomenon is often manifested in its underlying intricate geometry, which can frequently be described in terms of objects with non-integer (fractal) dimensions. In other cases, the distribution of events over time or various other quantities exhibits specific scaling behaviors, thus providing a better understanding of the relevant factors influencing these processes. By employing fractal geometry and scaling as a language in related theoretical, numerical, and experimental investigations, we have been able to gain deeper insights into previously intractable problems. The application of concepts such as scale invariance, self-affinity, and multifractality has led to a better understanding of growth phenomena, turbulence, iterative functions, colloidal aggregation, biological pattern formation, stock markets, and inhomogeneous materials. The main challenge of the journal "Fractals" lies in its interdisciplinary nature; we are committed to bringing together the latest developments in these fields to foster fruitful interactions among various approaches and scientific perspectives on complex spatial and temporal behaviors in both nature and society.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
