The International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics publishes brief communications, research articles, and review papers dedicated to all applications of geometric methods. These applications encompass both commutative and non-commutative differential geometry, Riemannian geometry, Finsler geometry, complex geometry, Lie groups and Lie algebras, bundle theory, homology and cohomology, algebraic geometry, global analysis, category theory, operator algebras, and topology. The journal covers all areas of mathematics and theoretical physics, with particular emphasis on the following topics: classical mechanics (Lagrangian, Hamiltonian, and Poisson brackets); quantum mechanics (including semiclassical approximations); Hamiltonian systems and integrability of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and partial differential equations (PDEs); variational structures of physics and conservation laws; thermodynamics of systems and continua (including quantum thermodynamics and statistical physics); general relativity and other geometric theories of gravity; geometric models in particle physics; supergravity and supersymmetric field theories; classical and quantum field theories (including quantization on curved backgrounds); gauge theories; topological field theories; string, membrane, and extended object theories; holography; quantum gravity, loop quantum gravity, and quantum cosmology; applications of quantum groups; quantum computing; control theory; and chaotic geometry.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
