Comments on Inorganic Chemistry aims to provide an authoritative written platform for critical discussions on inorganic chemistry research. We welcome articles of any length that focus on critiques or comments on new concepts, as well as new interpretations or developments of long-standing ideas. These comments may include critical discussions of previously published works, critiques of existing concepts, or original research introducing new ideas. Through these comments, the editors encourage authors from all areas of inorganic chemistry—whether in synthesis, structure, spectroscopy, kinetics and mechanisms, or theory—to express their interests in a personal and pedagogical manner. COMMENTS serves as an excellent platform for young inorganic chemists whose research is not yet widely known, allowing them to describe their work and enhance the visibility of COMMENTS authors, which includes many renowned inorganic chemists.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
