Relevant topics include the emergence of modern humans and the earliest expressions of human culture; livelihoods, agriculture, and technological innovations; and social complexity, as well as popular topics related to heritage. The journal features timely research covering cultural and historical processes, inter-regional interactions, biocultural evolution, cultural dynamics and ecology, the role of cultural materials in politics, ideology, and religion, different dimensions of economic life, the application of history, texts, ethnarchaeology, and archaeological data in archaeological interpretation, and the intersections of cultural heritage, information technology, and community/public archaeology.

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
