The journal "Animal Reproduction Science" publishes research findings related to animal reproduction and breeding, encompassing both basic and applied research aimed at enhancing our understanding of biology and reproductive manipulation. Manuscripts should delve into the mechanisms involved rather than merely describing the research results. The focus is on animals beneficial to humans, including those used for food and fiber production, companion animals, captive animals, and endangered species (including zoo animals), but excluding laboratory animals unless the research provides new insights into fundamental understanding of biology or reproductive manipulation. The scope of the journal includes reproductive physiology and endocrinology, studies of reproductive cycles, the breeding, preservation, and use of gametes and embryos, pregnancy and parturition, infertility and sterility, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic techniques under natural and artificial control. The editorial board of Animal Reproduction Science has decided not to publish studies on the in vitro development of oocytes and embryos; however, papers that include in vitro studies where the source of oocytes and/or the development of embryos after the blastocyst stage is part of the experimental design will be considered.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
