Acta Palaeontologica Polonica is an international quarterly journal that publishes research papers of general interest in all fields of paleontology. Since its founding in 1956 by Roman Kozłowski, the journal has featured various trends in modern paleontology, particularly those rooted in biology-based paleontology, a field that he helped establish. Research on the lifestyles and skeletal structures of ancient organisms is popular, as it provides evidence for evolution arranged in stratigraphic order. The application of vertebrate studies and fossil evidence in developmental research, including the individual development of cloned organisms and asexual development, has a long-standing tradition in our journal. Additionally, inferring the evolution of the biosphere and its ecosystems from geochemical evidence has also been a focus of research published in this journal.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
