体育社会学杂志 (SSJ) 每年出版四期(3 月、6 月、9 月、12 月),发表以社会理论为框架的关于锻炼、运动、体育文化和(体育锻炼)身体的原创研究。鼓励从不同的理论和方法论角度进行分析,以激发对全球职业体育、教练、商业锻炼/健身和休闲体育活动等广泛主题的进一步研究、批判性思维和理论发展。该杂志发表了一系列经过同行评审的研究文章、研究笔记和书评。北美体育社会学学会 (NASSS) 的成员将 SSJ 作为其会员的一部分。
