Applied Geochemistry is an international journal dedicated to publishing original research papers, rapid communications, and selected reviews in geochemistry and urban geochemistry. These papers have practical applications in areas such as environmental protection, health, waste management, and resource exploration. Therefore, we welcome submissions related to inorganic, organic, and isotopic geochemistry, as well as the application of geochemical processes, provided they meet our primary standards. Case studies involving spatiotemporal monitoring will only attract the interest of our international readership if they present new ideas with broad applicability. Topics covered include: (1) Environmental geochemistry (including natural and anthropogenic aspects, as well as protection and remediation strategies); (2) Hydrogeochemistry (surface water and groundwater); (3) Medical (urban) geochemistry; (4) Exploration of energy resources (especially unconventional oil and gas or emerging metal resources); (5) Energy development (particularly geothermal energy and carbon capture and storage); (6) Upgrading energy and mineral resources through direct applications of geochemistry; (7) Waste disposal, including nuclear waste disposal.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
