The Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology (JSEP) is a peer-reviewed academic journal aimed at inspiring and disseminating research theories across all areas of sport and exercise psychology. The journal emphasizes original research reports that enhance our understanding of human behavior related to sport and exercise. It also encourages comprehensive reviews using both qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as brief reports on well-designed studies of particular interest or significance. Areas of interest include social psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, experimental psychology, psychobiology, and personality research. Additionally, the terms 'sport' and 'exercise' may relate to either independent or dependent variables. Generally, studies on motor control processes, sports as social institutions, or broader social issues fall outside the scope of JSEP. The methods for researching topics in sport and exercise psychology are diverse.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
