Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the research and development of chemical sensors and biosensors, chemical actuators, and analytical microsystems. The journal aims to promote original research that demonstrates significant advancements beyond current technological levels in these fields, as well as the applicability of solutions to meaningful analytical problems. Review articles are only accepted upon invitation from the journal editors. The journal prioritizes the publication of works supported by experimental results, thus purely theoretical works are not accepted. All analytical performance parameters must be reported and rigorously compared with existing technologies. Sensor applications will only be considered when they involve complex samples with analytical challenges and have been appropriately validated. The scope of the journal includes but is not limited to the following areas: • New concepts, mechanisms, and detection principles in chemical and biosensing; • Manufacturing technologies for chemical sensors and biosensors; • Manufacturing technologies for chemical sensors, biosensors, chip-based detection devices, and chemical actuators; • Chemical actuators including soft actuators, micro and nano motors, and microfluidic components; • Photonic and biophotonic sensors and chemical sensing systems; • Lab-on-a-Chip, Micro Total Analysis Systems (μTAS), and other biochips and microarray systems; • Chemometrics of sensors and sensor arrays.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.
A journal article with 1 author
A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
Books Citation Format
Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
