Computational Optimization and Applications is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the timely publication of research and tutorial papers on the analysis and development of optimization computational algorithms and modeling techniques. The journal is interested in algorithms for general optimization problems as well as more specific application problems, including both stochastic and deterministic algorithms. Papers that provide theoretical analysis and well-designed computational experiments are particularly welcome. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: large-scale optimization, unconstrained optimization, linear programming, quadratic programming complementarity problems, variational inequalities, constrained optimization, nonsmooth optimization, integer programming, combinatorial optimization, stochastic optimization, multi-objective optimization, network optimization, complexity theory, approximation and error analysis, parametric programming and sensitivity analysis, parallel computing, distributed computing, vector processing, software, benchmarks, numerical experiments and comparisons, modeling languages and systems for optimization, automatic differentiation, and applications in engineering, finance, optimization control, optimization design, operations research, transportation, economics, communications, manufacturing, and management science.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
