The journal "Applied Catalysis A: General" publishes original research papers on various aspects of catalysis that are of fundamental and practical interest to chemists in both industrial and academic fields. It focuses on new insights into catalysts, catalytic reactions, new catalytic materials, new technologies, and new processes, particularly those with potential practical significance. The journal does not encourage the reporting of in-depth studies or optimizations of systems or processes that are already well understood, widely studied, or known to have only minor variations. Authors must state in a separate 'Publication Justification' section of their cover letter how their manuscript fits within the scope of the journal. Submissions without such justification will be rejected without review.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
