Particle and Particle Systems Characterization is an international, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal that focuses on all aspects of particle research. The journal became part of the Advanced Materials family in 2013. It has an impact factor of 4.194 according to the 2018 Journal Impact Factor (Journal Citation Reports, Clarivate Analytics, 2019). The topics covered include the synthesis, characterization, and application of particles in various systems and devices. The journal addresses nanotubes, fullerenes, micelles, alloy clusters, organic and inorganic materials, polymers, quantum dots, 2D materials, proteins, and other molecular biological systems. Particle systems are applied in fields such as biomedicine, catalysis, energy storage materials, environmental science, micro/nano-electromechanical systems, micro/nano-fluidics, molecular electronics, photonics, sensing, and more. Characterization methods include microscopy, spectroscopy, electrochemical techniques, diffraction, magnetic methods, and scattering techniques.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.

Sometimes references to web sites should appear directly in the text rather than in the bibliography.
