Polyamide is an important kind of polymer material used as engineering plastics and fibers. It is very important and necessary for polyamide materials to improve their antistatic properties with chemical or physical methods. Polyaniline material is considered as the most promising conductive polymer because of its easily obtained raw material,simple synthesis process,unique doping phenomenon,high conductivity and good stability in air. But polyaniline is difficult to be melted or to dissolve in solution due to its unique molecular chain structure and strong intermolecular force,and that limits its application. Usually polyaniline is used as an antistatic agent in polyamide-polyaniline composites to improve the antistatic property of polyamide fabrics, coatings,oil pipelines and other polyamide products,as well as the processing property of polyaniline. Based on compounding characteristics of different composite systems,the preparation methods,research progress and application areas of polyamide-polyaniline composite fibers,composite films,composite powders and threephase composite material systems were reviewed.

导电聚酰胺-聚苯胺复合材料的制备方法研究进展

A Ziegler-Natta /metallocene composite catalyst( MgCl2/TiCl4/rac-Et( Ind)2ZrCl2) of reactor granule technologycharacteristics is combined with a co-catalyst pair of triethylaluminum( AlEt3,TEA) and methyaluminoxane( MAO) to activate its Ti and Zr catalytic species respectively. TEA exhibits a deactivating effect on the Zr species amid propylene homopolymerization,whereas ethylene restores the deactivated species during ethylene-propylene copolymeriation. By this way,a reversible deactivation of the metallocene Zr species has been realized in the preparation of catalyzed polypropylene alloys( propylene homopolymerization +ethylene-propylene copolymerization) with Ziegler-Natta /metallocene composite catalyst. New catalyzed polypropylene alloys have been prepared with MgCl2/TiCl4/rac-Et( Ind)2ZrCl2composite catalyst and TEA /MAO bi-component co-catalyst,with the catalyst and co-catalyst added in one-pot. The polypropylene( PP)matrix is selectively produced by the Ziegler-Natta Ti species,while the ethylene-propylene copolymer( EPR)is accounted for in large portion by the metallocene Zr species. Compared to conventional Ziegler-Natta catalysts,the Ziegler-Natta /metallocene composite catalyst renders PP alloys with a more random sequence distribution and equally well domain distribution of EPR. This research provides a new route to the controlled preparation of catalyzed PP alloys.

Triethylaluminum-regulated Preparation of Catalyzed Polypropylene Alloys by Ziegler-Natta /Metallocene Composite Catalyst

三乙基铝调控的齐格勒-纳塔/茂金属复合催化剂制备催化聚丙烯合金

The melting behavior,crystallizing characteristics and tensile properties of biaxially oriented polypropylene( PP homopolymer for BOPP film( h-BOPP) and PP-PE copolymer for BOPP film( c-BOPP)) were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry( DSC),optical microscopy( OM),tensile test and wide angle X-ray diffraction( WAXD). The results showed that compared with h-BOPP,the isotacticity and crystallization rate of c-BOPP were lower,and its half crystallization time was longer at the same crystallization temperature. For h-BOPP and c-BOPP samples without annealing,the elongation at break was higher. However, after annealing at 140 ℃ for 2 h,the elongation at break of both h-BOPP and c-BOPP decreased a lot,as the more perfect crystallites formed. It was believed that crystals of higher perfection had less ability to rearrange themselves under stretching and therefore could not sustain large extensional deformation. Since there are many ethylene segments in the molecular chains that could inhibit the nucleation and crystallization,the crystallization rate of c-BOPP was low,resulting in lower perfect crystallites after annealing. So the elongation at break of c-BOPP was a little more than that of h-BOPP. In addition,the crystalline structure was proven to be partially destroyed under the extensional deformation,and the oriented noncrystalline molecular chains could be easily reorganized into more perfect crystals in the post heating runs. Due to the ethylene segments in the molecular chains of h-BOPP,the oriented noncrystalline molecular chains of h-BOPP could be easier reorganized. This paper explained the mechanism related to the differences between the tensile properties and crystallization behavior of BOPP with different molecular chains.

Effects of Ethylene Segments on the Crystallization and Tensile Properties of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene

乙烯链段对双向拉伸聚丙烯结晶和拉伸性能的影响

Translocation of polymer chains through nanopores( ultrafiltration behavior) is not only a basic problem in polymer physics and biophysics,but also related to many physical and chemical processes,such as gene transfection,protein transportation,and separation of polymer chains by size exclusion chromatography.However,due to the lack of appropriate polymer model samples as well as ideal elongational flow fields,the ultrafiltration behavior of polymer chains has not been systematically explored experimentally for a long time.To deeply understand the ultrafiltration behavior of polymer chains and verify relevant theory,we have made much effort on this subject in the past decade. In this article,we'll first review the classic theory of polymer chains passing through nanopores,and then provide an overview of our recent theoretical and experimental research achievements in this field,more specifically,we have( 1) successfully observed thecoil-to-stretchfirst-order transition of polymer linear chain passing through nanopores,and found that the critical flow rate( q c) is indeed independent on the chain length,but dependent on the pore size,inconsistent with de Gennes' prediction;( 2) developed a unified theoretical description of polymer chains with different topologies passing through a nanopore;( 3) systematically studied the effects of polymer chain topology and pore structure on the ultrafiltration behavior of polymer chains; and( 4) successfully applied the ultrafiltration method into the separation of polymer chain mixtures and the rapid transition between various polymeric aggregated structures.

How Do Polymer Chains with Different Topologies Pass Through a Cylindrical Pore under an Elongational Flow Field

The tensile,compressive and equilibrium-state properties of polymer nano-composites( PNC) are studied using molecular dynamics( MD) with coarse-grained polymer-nanoparticle model. The influence of the size and the mass loading of the nanoparticles on PNC's mechanical properties,and the microscopic change of the cross-linked networks of PNC systems are investigated by the tensile and the compression tests of the PNC MD simulations. We find that nanoparticles of relatively smaller size reinforce the mechanical property more,when the surface area or the mass loading of nanoparticles of different sizes are kept still. Secondly,the mechanical property of PNC system increases while the increment becomes smaller,as the mass loading of nanoparticles increases; and there exists an optimised value of the mass loading of nanoparticles for enhancing the tensile property of PNC system. Most important,the microscopic polymer-polymer and polymer-NP crosslinked networks existing in PNC systems compete with each other,and affect the tensile and compression stress with different microscopic mechanisms. Additionally,the equilibration-state MD simulations of varying mass loading of nanoparticles illustrate that the ratio of respective microscopic cross-linked networks determines the mechanical properties of PNC systems,and the aggregation of the nanoparticles induced by overloading weakens such effects.

Molecular Dynamics Investigation of the Compression and Stretching of Polymer Nano-composite Systems

聚合物纳米复合材料体系的压缩与拉伸的分子动力学研究

Aerogel fibers have attracted increasing interests due to their high outside specific surface area and high flexibility for applications in energy management systems. However, aerogel fibers usually suffer from weak mechanical properties and complicated fabrication process, thus severely restricting their broad application. In this paper, the never-dried bacterial cellulose(BC) with high molecular weight was firstly dissolved in NaOH/urea/thiourea aqueous solution at-15 ℃. Followed by wet spinning, solvent exchange and freeze-drying,the BC aerogel fiber with high mechanical properties was simply obtained. The dissolution process was observed by polarized optical microscope(POM), 13 C nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) and viscoelastic measurements.The variations of structure and properties on original BC and regenerated BC aerogel fibers were characterized by attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(ATR-FTIR), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). The structure and properties of BC aerogel fiber were studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM), specific surface area and pore size distribution analyzer(BET)and fiber strength tester. The results show that the never-dried BC can be dissolved in NaOH/urea/thiourea solution at low temperature. The maximum concentration of BC in the solution reaches up to 3 wt%. The resulted BC solution behaves as pseudoplastic fluid and stays stabe at room temperature. To fabricate BC aerogel fibers,wet-spinning technology and freeze-drying were utilized using BC solution as spinning dope. After regeneration,the crystal structure of BC transforms from I to II without derivatization. Meanwhile, highly porous structure in axial alignment with a high specific area of 192 m~2/g was demonstrated in the BC aerogel fibers. Due to the high molecular weight of BC, strong intramolecular and intermolecular interactions, and molecular chain orientation,the tensile strength and Young’s modulus of BC aerogel fibers could reach up to(9.36±1.68) MPa and(176±17.55) MPa, which are higher than those of state-of-the-art aerogel fibers. The lightweight BC aerogel fiber can withstand a load of more than 5×10~4 times its own weight. Such BC aerogel fibers show high potentials in flexible biological scaffolds, drug carriers, bio-adsorbents and advanced thermal insulation textiles.
