Acta Prataculturae Sinica was founded in 1990 and is hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, co-sponsored by the Chinese Grassland Society and Lanzhou University. The journal is a leading publication in the field of grassland and pastoral research in China. In 2009, it consistently ranked among the top four scientific journals out of 1994 in all fields of science and technology in China. The journal serves as an important reference for research scientists, university lecturers, postgraduate students, policymakers, and anyone interested in pastoral agriculture and the sustainable utilization of natural and agricultural resources. It is dedicated to sharing knowledge, ideas, concepts, and philosophies on the development of sustainable pastoral agriculture systems for both agricultural and non-agricultural purposes, and to promoting the understanding of the processes that affect ecological values, forage production, livestock production, and market development within pastoral agriculture systems. It publishes original research in all aspects of grassland science, as well as reviews, comments, and short communications. The journal is particularly interested in publishing the work of young scientists.
