Mission: The American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology (AJSLP) publishes peer-reviewed research and other scholarly articles on various aspects of clinical practice in speech-language pathology. This journal serves as an international platform for clinical research, addressing the screening, assessment, diagnosis, management, and outcomes of communication and swallowing disorders throughout the lifespan, as well as the etiology and characteristics of these disorders. With its clinical focus, AJSLP disseminates research findings relevant to all aspects of clinical practice in speech-language pathology. AJSLP aims to advance evidence-based practice by disseminating new research findings and providing a forum for critical commentary and meta-analysis of previously published work. Scope: The broad field of speech-language pathology, including aphasia; apraxia of speech and childhood apraxia of speech; auditory rehabilitation; augmentative and alternative communication; cognitive impairments; craniofacial disorders; articulation disorders; fluency disorders; childhood language disorders; speech disorders; swallowing, feeding difficulties, and voice disorders.
