Mission: The American Journal of Audiology (AJA) publishes peer-reviewed research and other scholarly articles related to clinical audiology methods and issues, serving as a platform for discussing relevant professional and educational topics. This journal is an international publication focused on clinical research concerning the screening, diagnosis, management, and outcomes of hearing and balance disorders, as well as the etiology and characteristics of these disorders. AJA's clinical focus allows for the publication of audiology reports implemented both domestically and internationally, including new clinical procedures, methods, and case studies. AJA aims to advance evidence-based practice by disseminating new research findings and providing a forum for critical reviews and meta-analyses of previously published work. The scope encompasses a wide range of clinical audiology fields, including audiology/hearing rehabilitation; balance and vestibular disorders; cultural and linguistic diversity; detection, diagnosis, prevention, adaptation, rehabilitation, and monitoring of hearing loss; hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive technologies; hearing disorders; lifespan perspectives on auditory function; speech perception; and tinnitus.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
