The Journal of Aging and Physical Activity (JAPA) is a multidisciplinary journal that focuses on the relationship between physical activity and the aging process. The journal publishes peer-reviewed original research reports, academic reviews, and professional application articles, encouraging submissions that contribute to understanding (A) the effects of physical activity on the physiological, psychological, and social aspects of older adults, and (B) the impact of aging or the aging process on the physical activity of older adults. In addition to research reports and reviews, JAPA also welcomes articles that explore the development, implementation, and evaluation of physical activity programs for older adults. Submissions are appropriate from fields such as biology, behavioral sciences, social sciences, medicine, clinical psychology, sports and recreational therapy, health, physical education, and recreation. Please note that studies using animal models do not align with the journal's mission and should be submitted elsewhere.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors
