Academic Emergency Medicine (AEM) is the official monthly journal of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM), dedicated to publishing information related to the practice, educational advancements, and research in emergency medicine. As the second-largest peer-reviewed scientific journal in the field of emergency medicine, AEM aims to advance the science, education, and clinical practice of emergency medicine, provide a voice for the academic emergency medicine community, and promote the goals of SAEM. Members and non-members from around the world rely on this journal for translational medicine related to emergency medicine, as well as clinical news and case studies. Each issue includes information related to research and educational advancements, covering a diverse range of topics such as preclinical research, clinical topics, health policy, and educational methods. Research from SAEM members has made significant contributions to the scientific content and development of the journal.
