The journal "Peace and Conflict" is guided by the vision of a world where peaceful means of resolving conflicts prevail over violent ones, and where equity and social justice are fundamental to all relationships—be it in families, communities, nations, or internationally. Its scholarly articles cover a wide range of topics, including the diverse causes and consequences of war and other forms of destructive conflict, as well as peace-making, reconciliation, prevention, and sustainable development. Issues concerning children and families, ethnicity, and feminism have been prominent in discussions of both direct and structural violence. The journal publishes a mix of empirical, theoretical, clinical, and historical work, along with policy analyses, book reviews, and bibliographic essays.
