The Journal of the American Water Resources Association aims to be a leading academic publication on multidisciplinary water resource issues. The papers published in this journal present perspectives from various disciplines, interwoven to provide a deeper understanding of critical water issues, or primarily based on a single discipline with significant applications to others. The papers typically cover topics from recent AWRA conferences, such as riparian ecology, geographic information systems, adaptive management, and water resource policy. Authors in JAWRA present their work to a broader audience within their fields. Our associate editors and reviewers reflect this diversity to ensure knowledgeable and fair reviews of a wide range of topics. We particularly encourage submissions that convey 'take-home messages' that readers can apply.

Journal Citation Format
Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.
Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 2 authors
A journal article with 3 authors
A journal article with 5 or more authors
