The journal Acta Ethnographica Hungarica publishes contributions that describe recent scientific advances in the fields of ethnography, folklore, and cultural and social anthropology. It places particular emphasis on subjects related to Hungarian ethnography and folklore, as well as works that present Hungarian folklore in the context of Eastern European and Eurasian cultures. The journal also publishes book reviews and advertisements.
