Analyzing the succession of the beginning and end years of the Saros -13, -12 ... 190 series, we find that most of the beginning or end years are arranged in ascending order, but from time to time some series begin or end before the series which it follows. The values for time travel are on average 183.8 years for the beginning of the Saros series and −153.7 years for the end of the Saros series. These occur with a recurrence of 587.99 years for the start of the Saros series and with a recurrence of 560 years for the end of the Saros series. It is shown that the number of years after which a new Saros series begins - steps at start, is 600.05 year and the number of years after wich a saros series end - steps at end, is 563.74. On the other hand, the chart of the intervals between the start years of the Saros series highlights the fact that at about 595 years the Saros series have high values around 1500 years. It also shown that the increase in the duration of the Saros series, also with 18 years, from 1226 years to 1514 years is accompanied by a decrease in Saros cycles on average by 2h 57m 26s. The size chart of the Saros series shows that their size decreases slowly over time. Thus around 3000 B.C. the large series have values around 1533 years, and around 2500 A.D. they have values around 1393 years. In the same periods the small series have values of 1399 years and 1249 years. Therefore, the size of the Saros series decreases slowly over time until extinction.

In this article we describe the developement of an insulated box with a thermostat controller to protect the sensitive Baader Solar Spectrum H alpha filter in the low temperatures of winter. Our goal is to facilitate daily solar synoptic observations in all seasons.

Protecting the HA Solar Spectrum Filter in Winter Low Temperatures

his paper presents a new instrument setup at the Bucharest Observatory of the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy, as well as preliminary results using this setup. It consists of records of VLF (very low frequency) perturbations using a superSID instrument. During March and December 2022 various mounts and settings tests have been performed. Starting October we obtained satisfactory data. We report on detecting the signature of moderate to intense solar flares (M and X–class). In this configuration, the C–class solar flares are less distinguishable from the background noise.

VLF Signal Variations Seen in the Bucharest Observatory Recordings .

In the field of astronomy and its broader scientific context of space sciences, the English and Romanian languages use terms and sentences on various levels of specialization and therefore, accessibility for the general public as well as for the scientists. The flow of scientific data and information is generated in both languages, which raises the subsequent need of a correct equivalence in specific translations from English to Romanian and vice-versa. In this respect, this study discusses in a multi-disciplinary context a list of terms and expressions translated from English to Romanian that are nowadays used in the fields of astronomy and space sciences. In these scientific areas, the authors of this article considered the English language as being more specific than Romanian and therefore, they aimed to deconstruct the scientific meaning behind each of these specialized English language entries, and point out through additional comments, the rationality of the translation choice they have made, according to the thinking, the ways of expressing and converging ideas in both languages.

Expanded Terminological List in Astronomy and Space Sciences from English to Romanian

The paper presents the results obtained in four points regarding the astro-geodetic vertical deviation determination. The four points located in the metropolitan area of Bucharest city and they are stationed twice, in 2015 and 2023. Observations were realized by a platform composed by an electronic total station coupling with a micro-CCD camera and a GPS time receiver, all controlled by a portable PC. For every station were realized more sessions of observations in both years. For vertical deviation calculus we used geodetic coordinates extracted from models, while astronomical coordinates were measured in the field. The goal of these astro-geodetic determinations is to serve for testing and evaluating global geoid models as EGM2008 and GOCE, as well as to validate the historical astro-geodetic determinations in our country

"If dark matter is composed of massive bosons, a Bose-Einstein Condensation process must have occurred during the cosmological evolution. Therefore galactic dark matter may be in a form of a condensate, characterized by a strong self-interaction. One of the interesting forms of the self-interaction potential of the condensate dark matter is the logarithmic form. In the present work we investigate one of the astrophysical implications of the condensate dark matter with logarithmic self-interaction, namely, its gravitational collapse. To describe the condensate dark matter we use the Gross-Pitaevskii equation, and the Thomas-Fermi approximation. By using the hydrodynamic representation of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation we obtain the equation of state of the condensate, which has the form of the ideal gas equation of state, with the pressure proportional to the dark matter density. In the Thomas-Fermi approximation, the evolution equations of the condensate reduce to the classical continuity, and Euler equations of fluid dynamics. We obtain the equations of motion of the condensate radius in spherical symmetry, by assuming certain particular forms for the velocity and density of the condensate. The collapse time required for the formation of a stable macroscopic astrophysical object is obtained in an integral form, and explicit numerical estimations for the formation of astrophysical objects with masses ranging from 106M⊙ to 1012M⊙ are presented."

Gravitational collapse of Bose-Einstein condensate dark matter halos with logarithmic nonlinearity

"The relevant study of the n-body problem (predicting individual motions of a group of celestial objects interacting with each other gravitational) is substantial in space dynamics. Further, the various perturbations effects, the collisions or the close encounters between celestial bodies are trajectory modifiers. In the digital age, the behaviour of non-integrable systems is usually and primarily studied with restricted models or coupled with the help of numerical integrators. Over time, these numerical integrators progressed, and the numerical challenge led to the introduction of many new techniques. The question is, which numerical algorithm to choose for the correct research? Is what we get through numerical integration close to the proper orbit? In other words, how can one be sure that the obtained trajectories reflect reality and that their prediction can be taken into account for a long time? This paper presents some analytical and numerical methods with highly accurate computations, such as regularization methods and symplectic integrators, which can be useful in obtaining the corresponding more accurate results."

Overview: Regularization and Numerical methods in Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy

"We study QCD-modified scalar field models of dark energy, in the presence of both interaction and viscosity, with varying gravitational constant G. The equation of the state parameter of the interacting viscous QCD-modified ghost dark energy (MGDE) and the deceleration parameter of the universe, are derived. Furthermore, we establish the correspondence between the interacting viscous QCD-MGDE and scalar field models of the dark energy which includes quintessence, tachyon, k-essence, and dilaton energy density. This is done in the framework of a non-flat FRW universe. Hence we are able to establish a correspondence and reconstruct the potential V (ϕ) and dynamics ϕ of the scalar field models according to the evolution of viscous QCDMGDE."

"The idea of solar sail is used to investigate the motion properties of the test particle which is varying its mass according to the Jeans law and moving under the gravitational forces of the primaries, the Coriolis and centrifugal forces in the circular restricted three-body system (CRTBS). The equations of motion of the test particle are determined under the above said perturbations. And hence, the dynamical properties like the locations of equilibrium points, their stability, periodic orbits, Poincare surfaces of section and basins of attracting domain are investigated. This problem will help those researchers who are interested in studying the problem related to solar sail for space Missions."

"The importance of radio telescopes for astronomy, geodesy, and other disciplines has been demonstrated by the growing number of radio telescopes worldwide, including in South-East Asia. Timau National Observatory has also considered a radiotelescope development program, which is expected to contribute both on a national and global scale. The diameter for the single dish is planned to be around 20-meter with a frequency range of 1-50 GHz. This paper outlines potential research for the planned radio telescope as a single dish as well as a part of future interferometer/VLBI collaboration. We collected several studies conducted with single antenna with a diameter of around 20-meter as a comparison to study its potential use as a single dish. As it is also essential to consider using an interferometer network, we also examined its capability as a part of VLBI, including the UV coverage and object simulation. Finally, it can be concluded that many studies can be conducted using the 20-m radio telescope as a single dish. Its location slightly below the equator can also play an important role in completing the global VLBI network."

The potential use of the 20-meter radio telescope planned at the Timau National Observatory

"This work deals with a new theoretical method proposed with the intent of improving the quality of astronomical polarimetric data. The theoretical method is ap- plied to one of the simplest possible birefringent type polarizer device constructs, being a hybrid measurement procedure between the fixed position angles and the continu- ous rotation records of the modulator (in our case, the quarter-wave plate) methods. It can be suitable for some astronomical applications in Planetary Science and Stellar As- trophysics, as their polarimetric parameters (polarization degree, polarization angle and Stokes parameters) have relatively stable values, allowing for the iterative proposed pro- cedure. The validity of the procedure is expected to be practically proven by comparing the quality of the polarization parameters obtained with it, on the proposed instrument, with the results obtained with a similar standardized instrument on the market."

Polarization measuring astronomical instrument: an improved method

"In the near future, four radio telescopes will be installed in Indonesia. Besides the astronomical purposes, these telescopes are expected to support the ground station for tracking the Artificial Earth Satellites (AES). In this study, we focus on the development of AES simulation software, named AESSIMS, that can be used to aid Indonesian radio telescope engineers in tracking the AES. This software is interactive and web-based. It can track the AES position in real time as well as predict the position for the near future. This software provides information about when a satellite signal can be acquired and lost, which can be beneficial for radio telescopes to establish communication with the satellite. We visualize the use of this software by conducting a simulation of satellite tracking by Indonesian future radio telescopes. Three Indonesian satellites named LAPAN-A1/TUBSAT, LAPAN-A2/ORARI, and LAPAN-A3/IPB are considered in the simulation. This study demonstrates that AESSIMS simulation results for Indonesian satellites and radio telescopes are consistent with the results obtained from already existing satellite tracking simulation software."

Development of artificial Earth satellite simulation software for future radio telescopes in Indonesia

"We investigate the creation of dark matter particles as a result of the decay of the scalar field in the framework of warm inflationary models, by using the irreversible thermodynamics of open systems with matter creation/annihilation. We consider the scalar fields, radiation and dark matter as an interacting three component cosmological fluid in a homogeneous and isotropic Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) Universe, in the presence of the curvature terms. The thermodynamics of open systems as applied together with the gravitational field equations to the three component cosmological fluid leads to a generalization of the elementary scalar field-radiation interaction model, which is the theoretical basis of warm inflationary models. Moreover, the decay (creation) pressures describing matter production are explicitly considered as parts of the cosmological fluid energy-momentum tensor. A specific theoretical model, describing coherently oscillating scalar waves, is considered. In particular, we investigate the role of the curvature terms in the dynamical evolution of the early Universe, by considering numerical solutions of the gravitational field equations. Our results indicate that despite the fact that the Universe becomes flat at the end of the inflationary era, the curvature terms, if present, may still play an important role in the very first stages of the evolution of the Universe."

Dark matter and radiation production during warm inflation in a curved Universe - an irreversible thermodynamic approach

"The potential threat of Near Earth Objects (NEO) requires a constant survey of the night sky to discover potentially dangerous objects and assess their future impact odds. Several ongoing surveys relying on human operators or automated techniques exist. One such example is the EURONEAR blink mini-survey project which over time developed from a pure manual approach to detecting asteroids to semi-automatic methods (NEARBY) using image processing and service-oriented approaches. In this paper, we propose an extension of NEARBY based on an ensemble model comprising three state-of-art machine learning models, some used in similar approaches. The proposed model is designed for a binary classification problem where candidate images may contain an asteroid in their center. Validation on a real-life dataset comprising 11,000 images shows that our ensemble model is capable of recovering about 55% of the asteroids missed by the previous NEARBY automated process while at the same time having a 0.88 recall on the asteroids already detected by NEARBY. Used together with NEARBY our model increased the detection rate from 89% to 95%."
