Acta Parasitologica is an international journal that covers the latest advancements in the field of parasitology. The journal publishes original research papers on various aspects of parasitology and host-parasite relationships, including the latest findings in the biochemistry and molecular biology of parasites, their physiology, morphology, taxonomy, and ecology, as well as original research on the immunology, pathology, and epidemiology of parasitic diseases in the context of medicine, veterinary science, and biological sciences. The journal also publishes brief research notes, invited reviews, and book reviews. Acta Parasitologica was founded in 1953, initially named 'Acta Parasitologica Polonica', and has been published by the W. Stefanski Institute of Parasitology of the Polish Parasitological Society since 1954. Since 1992, it has been published quarterly under the name Acta Parasitologica.
