Acta Montanistica Slovaca publishes high-quality articles on fundamental and applied research in the following fields: geology and geological surveys; mining; earth resources; underground engineering and geotechnical engineering; mining mechanization, mining transportation, and deep hole drilling; ecological technology and mineralogy; process control, automation, and the application of informatics in the extraction, utilization, and processing of raw materials; and other related areas. This journal is the only scientific publication of its kind in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. Submitted manuscripts should make a significant contribution to the international literature, even if the focus may be regional. Manuscripts should cite existing and relevant international literature, clearly stating what the broader contributions are (such as new discoveries, applications of new technologies or methods, or applications of existing methods to new problems), and should discuss the work in an international context.
