The Journal of Earthquake Engineering is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on the analysis, experimentation, and field studies of earthquakes from the perspectives of engineering seismology and structural engineering. The journal combines the three key elements of high technical quality, rapid publication, and competitive subscription rates, aiming to reflect the research and development efforts in the fields of earthquake engineering and engineering seismology from the global engineering community. The journal welcomes submissions related to experiments, analyses, designs, and field studies, covering topics including but not limited to: historical seismic activity, tectonics and seismology, strong motion studies, soil dynamics and foundations, site effects and geotechnical engineering, dynamic soil-structure interaction, foundation design for seismic loads, seismic response of buildings, seismic response of bridges and other special structures, lifeline earthquake engineering, passive and active systems for earthquake protection, retrofitting and strengthening, earthquake mitigation and emergency planning, case histories and field studies, and seismic tsunamis.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Books Citation Format

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
