The International Journal of Mass Spectrometry invites researchers to explore the fundamental aspects of ion processes through experimental and theoretical methods, advancing the field of mass spectrometry. We welcome papers that develop new instruments and experimental strategies for mass spectrometry, as well as research on new computational strategies for data interpretation and integration. Additionally, we encourage reports on new applications of mass spectrometry and its coupled techniques in biology, chemistry, geology, and physics. Please note that papers using standard mass spectrometry techniques for analysis will not be considered. IJMS publishes full articles, brief communications, reviews, and special articles, with a particular focus on the contributions of young scientists.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
