The journal "Applied Vegetation Science" focuses on community-level topics related to the interactions between humans and vegetation, including global change, conservation, natural management, the restoration of plant communities and natural habitats, as well as the planning of semi-natural and urban landscapes. We welcome studies related to vegetation surveys, modeling, and remote sensing applications. Please note that vegetation science papers that do not fall within this scope (i.e., those without an applied aspect and not related to vegetation surveys) should be submitted to our sister journal, "Vegetation Science." Only when a single species plays a key role in the construction of plant communities will both journals publish papers on the ecology of single species.

Journal Citation Format

Those examples are references to articles in scholarly journals and how they are supposed to appear in your bibliography.

Not all journals organize their published articles in volumes and issues, so these fields are optional. Some electronic journals do not provide a page range, but instead list an article identifier. In a case like this it's safe to use the article identifier instead of the page range.

A journal article with 1 author

A journal article with 2 authors

A journal article with 3 authors

A journal article with 5 or more authors

Here are examples of references for authored and edited books.
